Orientation Day Two :]] @ 9:55 AM

Day 2 of Orientation was a million times more exciting xD! Finally i think all ice has been fully broken, and we're much more bonded than day 1! Day 1 was just awkward most of the time la. So anyway ytd, we had skl tour first, and it was... really just walking around the compound as a group. Took a photo at 'tian tang' (heaven!) - you know, where students do 'stuff' there, i quote my OGL, afterwhich we had a disciplinary talk ._.

The rules here are alot more stringent than what was enforced in NY... Late - 1 DP (demerit pt), Fail Spotcheck - 1 DP, and many other offences which call for even more extreme measures. Is anyone planning to tuck in their HC blouse? 'Cos it seriously looks toot when you do, and i actually dont mind failing my spotchecks because of the elastic band in my shirt, since that'll be just 1 DP per term if i do get caught? xD Alright that settles it. Shall get my shirt altered asap >D

Then it was breaktime! The canteen was awfully crowded so marie, sam and i decided to play bball with huijun and sharon first :] Half an hour into break, we returned to the canteen for lunch, and proceeded to Orientation games :D Each OG had 5 matches, ours were the catch sandbag one, Capture (2 guys carry 1 girl!), Dodgeball, Frisbee game and the couple-race respectively!

Lost 1, Tied 1, Won 3 :D I think our scores are pretty awesome :D OG20 ftw !!



After the matches, we were dead beat but still had SODACHE to attend! There was this traditional batch dance.... was it wild wild west? Followed by Tick Tock :D Haha me and my partner screwed up and we just anyhow our way through xD Damn hilarious la all luan qi ba zao one. Then we had song session! While the songs sounded very pleasant , i thought they werent exactly memory-friendly... the tune was just difficult to catch up with at first. But after a few tries, everyone was singing along and swaying with the music :]

With one last cheer, the cheers I/Cs finally released us, then our grp gathered for photos and OG dinner discussions. Trevor freaking decided that we'd go to CHANGI AIRPORT (since he lived in Kebangan), and our group freaking agreed to the idea >[!!! Travelling home would be a nightmare. Trevor likes to travel. heh. So, very painstakingly, we took a bus to newton, then switched to MRT to cityhall, then to Tanah Merah, finally reaching the super urban-looking Changi Airport station :D On our way, Ethel actually dropped her shirt into the train tracks -.- wtf manz so suay !

At the airport, highlights included Rena and Magdalene laughing tgt NON STOP, wow i cant believe rena actually found her twin... The sight was pure hilarious and justified how laughing is truly contagious xD Though that kinda embarassed the guys and they were painfully trying to calm those two down~ Dinner was at Swensens! Where we made hell lot of noise as expected. Samuel frm the other table actually toppled his chips i think -__- So much action in one night.

On the other hand, girls at my table had tiny appetites and everyone paired up to share food..... With the exception of SELINA. As hungry as zhaochen, if you asked me. Oh yeah desmond joined us too! Haha everyone was thanking him for treating us dinner, and of course very agitatedly, he jumped up from his seat and rejected the idea xD Bill came up to 119+$, btw x) For abt 15~20, thats not alot :D

After dinner, Charmaine reminded us that SHINee was arriving at 8.45pm, so all the fangirls (rena, magdalene, charmaine) chionged to T2 to receive them -o-! The crowd and prowess of SHINEE FANS was ... overwhelming. Occasionally they burst into chants of SHINee, SHINee, SHINee, deluding us into thinking that the stars have arrived. Then, the guys would chant HWACHONG, HWACHONG, HWACHONG. Freaking hilarious xD I even dared them to shout "SHINee sucks" at T2 xD SURE KENA KILLED BY FANGIRLS hahahahahah.

Eventually, esther, selina and i couldnt wait anymore, since it was reaching 10 and SHINee freaking hadnt arrived, so we went home first :x SAD LA srsly, didnt get to see them in the end! But i assume the rest did?? SEND PHOTOS PLS !

Orientation Day One x.x @ 10:28 PM

Shall kick-start the post with a pikture i took in NY previously! :D No pictures taken in HC *yet*. So lets update on Orientation..... Day One. Cough.

So i was strolling into HC in the morning... Saw tons of O trackers joining us for orientation :D Abt 500, they say! Saw many from St Nicks and Cat High, and eventually found out that 2 of my pri skl classmates are here too !!! -JUMPS FOR JOY- Ehhh childhood best friend k :] They've actually become so gorgeous i can barely recognise them *paiseh*.

Anyway, first few periods were very very draggy talks, some repetitive, others sleep-lulling. Eventually, we got a duper long break and we went to have jap food (again) :] With ample time left, wann brought us to the bball court for a friendly match! On my team was, Teo, Linkai, Eephon (sp? :x), Huiying, Qingying (the pro ehh!), Kakay, me and.... eeks i cant recall the rest ;_; The heat got to me man. Anw we were against the pros... Yoyo, Wann, Marie, Huijun, Huier, Zexin... Etc ! It was a good match! Okay maybe not cos at this very moment, some pro basketballer is commenting:

Yeah so probably we played like retards. Oh, another very constructive comment:

Woots. So after a (pretty long) and sweaty game, we returned to the audi for briefing and cheering ! Funneh the losers had to dance to Nobody. So ps la they! In front of the cohort :D New definition to overnight fame. At 2.30, we proceeded to the hall for Orientation! Met my OG lol... Decided to be a loner at the start, sat by myself by the back..... With no one to talk to.... (T_T) Okay snap out of self-pity xD

But things got better as we proceeded to some random spot for ice breakers! I always say that ice breakers only freeze us up more if they compel us to do too many awkward guy-girl activities LOL, but it was pretty *normal* overall. Probably the more tormenting games like *straw game, face-plate-face game etc* will commence tmrw onwards. Anyway i made new friends! With SUNSHINE mode turned on to the max heh >D (Charlie jiayou !!!)

Towards the end, we did Sodache in the hall, the atmosphere was really good! And with the SMTP ppl, our OG was complete :] Tmrw we can have a full orientation! JIAYOU OG20 =3= I dont know. We're like this awkward mixture of ppl. But sometimes accidents lead up to the greatest inventions, no?

Adolescence @ 2:06 AM

Weird title. Suddenly feeling pretty emotional about everything going on around me! I realise that as we grow older, the tension in our lives escalates and we start to worry about every other thing... Which is when we ultimately struggle to break through and mature from who we were, to become better all-rounded. So are you the carrot, coffee bean, or egg? What do you do when adversity knocks at your door? Well... Just a slice of life to meditate on for today. -Awkward atmosphere- Okay. I suddenly feel 80 years old already.

On a lighter note......
Today was boring as usual -__- Honestly, show us something we dont know ! Alright, gotta give the chem dept credit for preparing interesting expts to show us! Loved the chemical bar in particular :D But math and PE? Give me a break, off with the lectures >( But with Orientation (Ad Infinitum~) round the corner, i might just eat my words. *On with the lectures! Dont make me hold hands with that boy and slide down the water slope together, NOOOOOOO ~* Vivid imagination much x.x

Oh right, i bought my uniform + PE alr! :D Feelin' like a primary school kid all over again. Did i mention that the shirt has been altered in such a way we cant sew in elastic bands!! :U What the hell is wrong with them -_- Nonetheless, its not like everyone's gonna live with that. We're probably gonna cook up some measure like....stapling our shirt in place? Just sayin' x)

Rtd linkai isnt replying my text, rendering me unable to decide my schedule for tmr -o-!! Reply la you ahma XD! Alright shall let you off since you guys have been working your butts off at rehearsals :P Will someone remind me to tune in on Sunday night! Mama and linkai are acting as butterfliez :]

There's another vid but im not sure if i can post it yet ! Must consult linkai-daren. Lets talk about the week so far (:

Basically its been alot of mundane lectures... going out after school and just very boring school life altogether ._. Today, we did a 50-mcq eng diagnostic test... heard from marie that those who perform poorly would be admitted into this 'special' class called iloveGP?? @_@ That'd suck so i tried to keep awake and finish the sums carefully. But apparently when i was just halfway through the paper, nettie started to snore away alr -_- Inferior much LOL

Then we had break! (right?) Ate at Italiano Supremo... Couldnt resist the cheesy goodness :D BUT zomg the prices were sky-high there -_- Settled with potato salad cos watashi r broke. The food there is actually good! (Wa jojo you have high standards...) Besides, i had a tuna sandwich (fishtank!) from earlier on :] I think i can just eat my bfast at that cafe every morning. xD What a happy, awesome place!

After the break, we had mmmm ECONS talk :D The lecturer was hilarious.. he kept everyone captivated every single minute xD And i heard many saying "omg im going to take up econs!" right after the session. Nonetheless i still think while econs can very much be common sense, it is still a rather taxing subject... :/

Oh then we had Bio talk(: Very inspiring i should say! Made me think alot about what i wanna be when i grow up... -Cues Pussycat Dolls' hit- K its about naptime so i shall wrap things up.

We always thought we'd look back on our tears and laugh,

This is my personal version, in case you wanted reference.

On to my college debut. @ 1:31 AM

I told myself i'd definitely blog about how the first day of high school went, so i'd be able to look back (and get flooded with nostalgia) eventually.

Unfortunately its been strangely peaceful, and close to being one of the most boring schooldays of my life -_- Met my friends at the busstop at 8am, then strolled in tgt, only to be hurried and scolded by teachers. Wow great start. So we enter this massive audi, which i shall not use to compare with Nanyang's, and it was packed to the max. So we settled for seats on the floor, pathetic much.

As a welcome gift, everyone was made to write essays so that the lecturers can determine the standard of our command of english, which would be used to STREAM US ZOMG, though i think using english to categorise us still sounds pretty dubious. In any case, those who couldnt get seats went to the next lecture hall to sit for the diagnostic test.

I picked Q4! "Working parents are causing their children to suffer, discuss." Very noob i know. XD Not as adventurous as zhaoey who chose something like, "Books have a future, discuss." Somehow i think, the shorter the question, the more intimidating it is.

Afterwhich, was breaktime! Time to taste for ourselves, the notorious hwachong food. Nonetheless, i approached the canteen with a very positive mindset. First meal in hwachong - Mixed Veg! Closest to the heart, always. I had tofu and ... chicken? Turned out that i barely finished my food. -_____- that rarely happens omg. And so you understand my verdict. But first impressions usually dont last, so i shall challenge ITALIANO SUPREMO tmr @_@

After break, we had another hour's worth of math lecture on basic algebra. Purpose of lecture is unknown. I was just glad it lasted for only an hour :D I can picture myself doing this thing for the rest of my high school life. At arnd noon, we mopped around, asked random people where the G.O. was, and highlight was how zhaochen approached this pair of guys to ask them for directions, oblivious that she actually knew one of them. Wa heartbreaker man zhaoey, pwnz.

Then, we actually walked to coro! :] Its super near and convenient! Had western food at Prince. Talked alot ^^ Having a good ol' chat and bonding session over meals is awesome.

Basically its been alot of mundane lectures... going out after school and just very boring school life altogether ._. Today, we did a 50-mcq eng diagnostic test... heard from marie that those who perform poorly would be admitted into this 'special' class called iloveGP?? @_@ That'd suck so i tried to keep awake and finish the sums carefully. But apparently when i was just halfway through the paper, nettie started to snore away alr -_- Inferior much LOL

Then we had break! (right?) Ate at Italiano Supremo... Couldnt resist the cheesy goodness :D BUT zomg the prices were sky-high there -_- Settled with potato salad cos watashi r broke. The food there is actually good! (Wa jojo you have high standards...) Besides, i had a tuna sandwich (fishtank!) from earlier on :] I think i can just eat my bfast at that cafe every morning. xD What a happy, awesome place!

After the break, we had mmmm ECONS talk :D The lecturer was hilarious.. he kept everyone captivated every single minute xD And i heard many saying "omg im going to take up econs!" right after the session. Nonetheless i still think while econs can very much be common sense, it is still a rather taxing subject... :/

Oh then we had Bio talk(: Very inspiring i should say! Made me think alot about what i wanna be when i grow up... -Cues Pussycat Dolls' hit- K its about naptime so i shall wrap things up.

We always thought we'd look back on our tears and laugh,

On to my college debut. @ 1:31 AM

I told myself i'd definitely blog about how the first day of high school went, so i'd be able to look back (and get flooded with nostalgia) eventually.

Unfortunately its been strangely peaceful, and close to being one of the most boring schooldays of my life -_- Met my friends at the busstop at 8am, then strolled in tgt, only to be hurried and scolded by teachers. Wow great start. So we enter this massive audi, which i shall not use to compare with Nanyang's, and it was packed to the max. So we settled for seats on the floor, pathetic much.

As a welcome gift, everyone was made to write essays so that the lecturers can determine the standard of our command of english, which would be used to STREAM US ZOMG, though i think using english to categorise us still sounds pretty dubious. In any case, those who couldnt get seats went to the next lecture hall to sit for the diagnostic test.

I picked Q4! "Working parents are causing their children to suffer, discuss." Very noob i know. XD Not as adventurous as zhaoey who chose something like, "Books have a future, discuss." Somehow i think, the shorter the question, the more intimidating it is.

Afterwhich, was breaktime! Time to taste for ourselves, the notorious hwachong food. Nonetheless, i approached the canteen with a very positive mindset. First meal in hwachong - Mixed Veg! Closest to the heart, always. I had tofu and ... chicken? Turned out that i barely finished my food. -_____- that rarely happens omg. And so you understand my verdict. But first impressions usually dont last, so i shall challenge ITALIANO SUPREMO tmr @_@

After break, we had another hour's worth of math lecture on basic algebra. Purpose of lecture is unknown. I was just glad it lasted for only an hour :D I can picture myself doing this thing for the rest of my high school life. At arnd noon, we mopped around, asked random people where the G.O. was, and highlight was how zhaochen approached this pair of guys to ask them for directions, oblivious that she actually knew one of them. Wa heartbreaker man zhaoey, pwnz.

Then, we actually walked to coro! :] Its super near and convenient! Had western food at Prince. Talked alot ^^ Having a good ol' chat and bonding session over meals is awesome.
